Washington DC Engagement photos | Love began at home | Emily & Matt

IMG_2274.jpg

These two’s love story on how they met is soo cutee! Emily & Matt met at this quaint apartment building, where they were neighbors. A few flirty exchanges and Matt going out of his way to help Emily with things *wink* led to these two becoming friends and now life partners. For their engagement session, they wanted to go back to where they first met and fell in love, then take the remainder of their engagement session pictures at the Lincoln Memorial which also had a sentimental meaning for them because Emily’s parents took their wedding photos at the Lincoln memorial. This session was so much fun for us and their love was soo beautiful to photographed!! <3

Estelle & Jesse’s Anniversary session at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC was too dreamy for words so we are ecstatic that we have photos to show you all exactly what we mean! These two contacted us back in January to photograph their 5 year wedding anniversary in Washington DC. We originally planned to have their session at the end of March when the cherry blossoms were in full bloom but then of course Covid-19 happened and literally every where was shutdown and DC (especially around the monuments) was a ghost town. We were all pretty bummed but made plans to still have these photos taken on July 3rd, 2020.

Fast forward to July 3rd, we wake up very early around 7am to photograph these two during sunrise. Grant it we missed sunrise (lol) but we were still determined to have an amazing shoot nonetheless. This would be our first session since things started opening back up so were nervous as to how busy the monuments will be (although we location scouted the day before and there were very few people at the Lincoln memorial), and how the interaction/vibe of the session will be overall as we figured we wont be able to hug, shake hands, and be as hands-on as we normally are with our sessions. To cut a long story short when we finally met with Estelle and Jesse their warm smiles and greetings put our nerves at ease and the warm, fun-loving, dreamy tone was set for the rest of their shoot.

After being away from photographing for so many months we are so glad these two were the first people we photographed because they got our creative juices flowing again and helped us fall in love again with photography! <3

Washington DC Cherry Blossoms Engagement Session | Thomas Jefferson Memorial Engagement session Photos | Angela & Joey | Washington DC wedding photographer

Washington DC is one of the few cities in America that is so beautiful year round. With spring being one if not THE most beautiful season because (you guessed it) the cherry blossoms. These photos were taken last year during peak bloom. We honestly couldn’t get enough of Angela and Joey during their engagement session at the Jefferson Memorial in Washington DC. We were so in love with their gorgeous looks (especially Angela’s dress!) and how they complimented each other! We honestly weren’t surprised to see that Angela is a full on fashionista with an amazing following on social media!

To say we were looking forward to photographing their wedding this July is such an understatement. So unfortunately due Covid-19 these two decided to postponed their wedding to next year. So for now we will reminisce on the amazing time we had photographing them! :)

Laura and Todd’s engagement session in Shenandoah National park is still one of our favorite sessions to date. We met them at one of the beautiful overlooks Shenandoah national park has to offer. We started off their session with a casual fit in a wooded area close to the overlook and ended the session with a more formal look and the sun setting over the mountains. But even with the gorgeous scenery and their beautiful outfits its the love that these two share, that makes each of these photos breathtaking!

Lindsey & Andrew are both hikers. So when they said they wanted to take their engagement pictures in Shenandoah National Park, we were so excited!! On an October evening we hiked to one of the most beautiful places in Shenandoah. The view was breathtaking!!! Even though it was very cold at the top, these two braved it out and were sooo cute with each other. We definitely love the vibe and energy they had around each other! :) Hope you enjoy looking at these photos as much as we do!…… Xoxo!

They were such a joy to photograph. They braved the cold weather and still had a smile on their face! :)

Stefani & Gary's  engagement session at Shenandoah National Park, Virginia is what engagement session dreams are made of. We met up with this beautiful couple for their engagement session in the bitter cold of late January. However these two were so amazing and battled the cold to get these gorgeous images. They were ever so ready to take of their coats and strike a pose. We had the best time with them and cant wait to photograph their wedding this fall!

Shenandoah National Park honestly is one of our favorite locations to shoot at year round because of the amount of versatility and scenic views it offers. Alot cant make the trip but if you do, it is totally worth it. We love watching amazing sunsets with our amazing couples! :)
